Hi and welcome to the forums teresa.h ☺
Very frustrating when you're actively seeking support which in itself is great cause you're being proactive which is essential in the healing process
I can relate to this.
A couple of suggests.
One is googling "Grow" support groups that are scattered around Oz and some countries overseas. It's very well put together support with group and individual learning to overcome adversity programme probably not the right word. Theres a wealth of wisdom in ways of healing. It was developed in Oz here 👍People can also start a group, theres some training.
Also your GP and if you contact Mental health access line on
Ph. 1800011511 they can help you too.
If you ring here they'd I'd imagine know or can direct you no; 1300224636
The forums here are fantastic, the moderators do an excellent job and bb has set and maintains a theme of peace harmony and support.
If you're interested theres a lot of learning here people are talking from learned experience and wisdom. Anyones welcome to join any threads ☺
Best of luck and anytime you want to talk about your feelings you're welcome to.

Hi Teresa.H and welcome.
I can relate to the frustration you are expressing and I think others will too. When I'm feeling awful I need for the process of finding help to be straightforward and often it isn't.
It is easy to become frustrated and start thinking noone really cares. But it isn't the truth.
Over the years I've learnt sometimes online is not the best place to find local resources. In your area can you think of anywhere that you might find ads or notices? Our library tends to have notices about local help groups and classes and so does the notice board at the rec centre, the swimming pool and board outside the shopping centre. These are not always advertised online.
Is there a friend or family member you can ask to help you find what you need?
Also it is worth googling if there is an association for mental health in your state. Here in WA we have the WAAMH (https://waamh.org.au) and you can visit them in person or via phone or email to ask what help is available near you. I'm not sure if other states have organisations like this but I suspect they do.
As DB said these forums are here for you also and I hope you feel welcome to join in wherever it helps you.
