Medication

Hi BB

I've been on anti depression tablets now for years. When I try to get off I become very shot and angry so I go back on . The issue is that my days are still dark . If I didn't have my kids and my partner I can honestly say I wouldn't be here . Are there any suggestions or better treatments ? I'm still scared that one day I won't be able to fight it any more

Hey Glenn!

Have you got a prescribing doctor? It seems strange that they would keep you on a medication if it isn't working. Might be worth looking at seeing a GP or Psychiatrist? From my experience, getting off these med is rough. And by the sounds of it, like you, I experienced a fair amount of anger after coming off one. It passed within a couple of weeks but it not ideal at all, especially with kids.

My best advice would be to talk to a psychiatrist, that's what I'd do anyway. They have their pathways and options which might work out well for you.

Hopefully you're able to find some relief from the darkness of your days!
