Hi wayno. Did you stop taking the meds under gp/dr supervision. I have in the past come off meds, but the gp suggested I taper down gradually instead of going off completely. I have gone off completely in the past (unfortunately) and I got quite unwell again. My suggestion if you want to go off medication is to have a chat to your dr about it and to come up with a plan. This could be tappering down with regular check ins or other (I'm not a dr or expert). I suggest continuing to take meds as prescribed and previously discussed with your dr until you can see them again.
Hope this helps. If you are wanting to go off your meds that is completely your choice but make sure you get advice on how to do it safely with your dr to avoid withdrawals and side affects that could be minimised

Hi wayno and others reading. I just realised I didn't explain one sentance I said properly
"I have gone off completely in the past (unfortunately) and I got quite unwell again."
when I said this I meant I came off meds completely without dr supervison and I went from moderate dose to nothing. I did it all of a sudden. This is why I got unwell.
In the past I have had to change meds so you have to come off your meds completely to swap to the new one. I didn't get so unwell then as I followed gp advice and didn't go off all of a sudden.
Sorry for not specifying properly. Yes you can come off medication. Some people don't need to be on it life long (some do, remember I am not a professional and do not take my advice as such) so you need to explore this with your gp.
