hi I am new here but i feel like I am coming to the end of the line … I think about not being on this earth all the time I shouldn’t feel like this I have family and 67 years old shouldn’t life be better … I don’t feel joy in anything I would go on antidepressants but because of my RLS they all seem to make them worse then I get even more depressed… is anybody in here with RLS that take antidepressants and don’t have a problem with them would love to hear from you

Hi LynnMC,
Welcome to the forums! Thank you for sharing this here. We're sorry to hear you're having thoughts about not being here. We're checking in with you privately as we are concerned and we'd like to offer you some more immediate support. If you'd like to reach out to our Support Service directly, we're on 1300 22 4636 and you can also chat online here.
It’s not possible to request or receive medical advice here on the forums, however we think that posting here could be a really good chance to hear from others about thier experiences with some of the challenges you mention. We encourage you to keep your prescribing doctor updated on what’s going on for you, and seek a second opinion from a differing doctor if are looking for additional perspectives. For a bit more information on why we can't allow discussions of medication or medical advice, you can check out our thread on the topic, here: Why we don't allow discussion of specific medications on the forums
Just to make things a bit easier for other community members when they spot your post, please could you share what RLS is for you? We are guessing restless leg syndrome, but don't want to assume.
Thank you for sharing this and giving this community a chance to offer you their understanding and advice. We’re here to listen and offer support, and you never know how your story might help someone else.
Kind regards,
Sophie M
