So I’m new to this and I’m not sure what to say but I have been trying to bottle up my depression/anxiety/issues with an eating disorder for about a year now and I’m just exhausted. I have no motivation to do hardly anything anymore and I just feel like everything is so pointless. My mental health problems have caused me to just be completely mentally and physically drained and i don’t know how to get back on track with life. I’ve been too depressed to work and I’m constantly paranoid/ sad in general. I’m not dealing with any suicidal thoughts but I worry that things will only get worse. I am about 1 year clean from self harm but lately I have considering it so that I feel some release from my constant feelings of worry/nothingness. Not sure if this makes sense but I just felt like venting a bit

Hi Eggwad,
Welcome to the forums! We're so glad that you joined us today - we understand that bottling up your feelings must be really exhausting. Please know that this is a safe space to share what you're thinking and feeling. Hopefully a few of our members will be by to welcome you over the next few days.
Can we ask if you are accessing any mental health support for these depression/anxiety issues and eating disorder? It sounds like a lot to deal with on your own. Please know that there is professional support available to you.
There is an organisation called the Butterfly Foundation which offers support for eating disorders and body image issues. We'd recommend you check out their website - https://butterfly.org.au/
You are also always welcome to get in touch with Kids Help Line. They are a confidential and anonymous, telephone and online counselling service specifically for young people aged 25 and under.
We're really sorry to hear that you are constantly worrying. You might be able to find an alternate method of release on our page "Self harm and self injury" - https://www.beyondblue.org.au/the-facts/suicide-prevention/feeling-suicidal/self-harm-and-self-injur...
Welcome again, and please feel free to reach out here whenever you're feeling up to it.

Hi Eggwad
Having a vent is healthy! and good on you for doing so. It took me 3 months to post my first thread as I didnt have your strength at the time when I joined the Beyond Blue forums
Sophie_M has provided quality support above including our friends at 'Kids Help Line'. There is a direct link above in Sophie_M's post to the Kids Help Line so you dont have to use 'Google Search' especially when we have mental fatigue to deal with...Kids Helpline are proactive and available 24/7 on 1800 55 1800
There are many gentle people on the forums that can be here for you Eggwad....I am only one of them
any questions are always welcome! I really hope you can stick around if and when you wish 🙂
my kind thoughts
Paul
