Hello fellow travellers
How to deal with emotional pain in a healthy way?
I don't know, do any of you?
Cheers Amamas

Hey Amamas
Hope your day is okay today.
Some things I do are:
walking down the beach with the dog
listening to meditation exercise
go outside and water my garden
Hoping others give more ideas.
Jo

Hi Amamas,
I find it useful to journal. I only started earlier this year. When you hit the dark place and the tears flow try writing your thoughts. Come back to them when your feeling more able and try to read them as your own best friend.
Have a positive goal. I am planning a trip to India.
Peace.

Hi Amamas
I agree with Daisy. Writing helps by getting things from your mind.
I do this, and by sharing with family and life long friends. This works best for me.
Much love

Hey guys thank you so much for sharing your ideas!
One of my big blocks is that I find it so hard to cry. Long long journey!
I need to find something more powerful than cigarettes so that when the pain overwhelms me I know I can do .......(whatever the answer is) and I'll be ok.
Thanks again
Cheers Amamas

Hi,
Yes. I think I know what you mean. I didn't cry for about 30 years unless I had way to much to drink. Not something I would recommend.
What exercise do you do? I took up running when I stopped smoking. I find it really good for avoiding getting to the point where I am overwhelmed.
Peace.

Thanks Daisy
I can't do much exercise because of my CFS but you are onto it there. Before CFS, PTSD etc I loved exercise!! If my body could biking would be the answer for me. Thats how I used to work through all my emotions - hitting the road.
Thanks again and Peace
