Young man trying to figure out life

Hi all
I wanted to get some feedback from some men who have experienced similar to myself and come through it.
As a 28 year old guy trying to find my way in the world I have recently been experiencing anxiety and depression and have started seeing a psychologist and taking meds.
All of my stress comes from my chosen career path as a tradesman and wanting to make a career change. Also supporting my girlfriend while she is at uni. Moving to a new city. Being away from family and friends etc
I have been super reflective the past few months and really been evaluating my life. I feel like I'm wasting my life in a career I don't have a passion for. Feeling internal pressure to support my partner and make our move to the new city work. Also not wanting to let us down.
Has anyone else gone through this sort of thing at this age?

I am 32 almost and have gone back to uni this year.
Not even sure if this is what I want to do.
Music is my passion but familial opinion makes me choose careers to make them get off my back.

Hi Gregg
Your doing just fine mate! By recognising the points you have raised and taking time thinking about these issues shows a great deal of inner strength.
My personal thoughts are that there is tremendous pressure in our society for men in general to be the providers, the rocks of society come what may!
You have the aces in your hand! You have a trade and believe me I was very grateful to be able to go back to mine (boilermaker) after a 25yr break as it gave me the breathing space to live again!
So make the changes find another career go to uni. Have a fulfilling life and these days I feel one needs to be multi faceted in their work life. It makes for a more pleasant and fulfilling existence. I've had several careers and at 54 still don't know what I should be doing:)
look forward to hearing where you go
tske care
