Welcome to the Beyond Blue forums,
We're sorry to hear about your ongoing battle with depression; we understand it's disheartening when you feel you're putting in so much effort but aren't able to see the benefits. Would you feel comfortable sharing with us a bit more about yourself and your history of depression?
We know the effectiveness of medication and therapy can differ from person to person. It might be worth speaking to your GP about another anti-depressant. You may also find that another therapist is more suited to your personality and needs. You might like to look through our "A guide to what works for depression" booklet for further ideas on mental health treatments.
We hope you know that there is always help available to you, whether it's from our professional mental health counsellors Beyond Blue (available 24/7/365 on 1300 22 4636) or our friends at Lifeline (13 11 14) or the Suicide Call Back Service (1300 659 467).
We hope to hear more from you Kilo.

Hello Kilo, can we offer you a warm welcome and understand exactly what you've told us and if possible can I explain the situation I was in when married.
I'd been seeing a psychologist for quite a while a long time ago, and my wife kept on saying 'why on earth am I seeing her when nothing was changing and the AD's weren't helping', yes she had made a good point, but I could tell her many things that I couldn't tell anyone else, so if I can suggest your first objective is to find a therapist you feel comfortable talking to, they might not necessarily help you overcome your depression straight away, but it's a place where you can talk to them, something that you can't do outside of the session.
These therapist's need to try and understand everything that has caused this, plus any trigger points and require all of this information to know why you need to see them and this can't be obtained straight away as you could be hiding secrets and they won't understand everything in the first couple of sessions.
It can be very frustrating for you but any type of depression can involve so much and you may have to take several different types of AD's, I think I tried at least half a dozen before the one was found to help me.
Please ask any question you like.
Geoff.
