I have just 22 i work full time and study at uni part time, recently over the last 8 months i have been feeling constantly sad i cant sleep at night, i cry at night because nothing seems to be going right for me, i have stopped hanging around my friends i have stopped eating regular meals and have found myself drinking alcoholic drinks in large volumes in an effort to feel happiness, whats wrong with me?

dear TK, the answer to your question is you have depression, and all the symptoms you have mentioned are typical signs of this illness.
Working full time and having depression can affect your desire to go to work, with days when you don't want to go or you want to stay in bed, and on top of this you are putting extra pressure on yourself by studying part time.
You become aloof with your friends and by drinking alcohol only means that you want to numb this depression, just like I did, but the problem is always there the next day, and so on it goes, day after day.
Best to make an appointment to see your doctor who will get the ball rolling.
You really need to nip this illness a.s.a.p because it's not going to go away by itself, plus it seems as though you have too much on your plate.
