Hi Sandra8889 (and wave to Grandy 👋)
I have recently gone for long periods being unable to move, so I just wanted to send my empathy as I know it can feel horrible. For me it was severe anxiety and depression linked to major hormonal dysregulation and complicated by grief and some past trauma issues coming up all at once. My system went into overwhelm and I had whole days curled up in a ball in bed. Other days I would sit in a chair for 4-5 hours not able to get up and do anything. But if it's any encouragement, it is starting to ease up a bit now. I was able to go for some walks in recent days and do a little more and can feel a gradual improvement. So I don't know why your body is stuck but I think knowing it can gradually unwind in its own time and will be able to move again can help. Be gentle with yourself.
As Grandy was saying, if you feel up to sharing a little more we might be able to have some ideas to support you, if you want to. If you just want someone to talk to, we are here.
Take care and kind thoughts,
ER xx

Been there too. I have spent days in bed. Didnt shower for weeks and struggled even to drag myself to toilet.
Sometimes your body and mind just needs to check out for a while. You can get through this and start moving again. It usually takes time and small steps. Posting here is a great first step.

Sandra8889,
I echo the warm welcomes of others on this forum, and I'm sorry to hear about how you're feeling.
Has there been something that's happened in your life that's made you feel this way, or has this seemingly happened without a cause? When did you first start feeling like this?
I can relate to the feeling of not wanting to leave your bed. It can be comforting, because it's a place where we can escape and disconnect from reality. But it can also be a place where we dwell on the reality that we do exist in, which can be equally as damaging for us.
Is there anything that you can think of that would bring you a little bit of joy to do? Perhaps if you have any hobbies or interests (even from years ago), or if there's something that you could place near your bed that would make you happy. Flowers, pictures, any souvenirs or figurines... these can all be little ways to boost your happiness and help make you feel better.
We'd love to hear more from you and offer more words of support, if you'd be willing to share more about your experience.
Take care, SB
