Hi at 15 years old I did not want to be around anymore I got hurt in primary and high school primary school it was another student who hurt me and in high school it was a teacher . My sister Kylie doesn't call me a sister at all I try to talk to her on face book but she does not reply . And I had to put up with my sister come and then go that's why I don't call her a sister she had a bad boyfriend who did not treat her right t all. And ever since she left home at 16 years of age I haven't been the same mentally . And I live with my parents there the only ones who care . I m sadly single as well no guy wants to accept me just because thanks to the voices I hear . I cant live on my own cause I got 2 serious mental disorders and OCD Anxiety as well . I m just angry in high school and primary everyone teased me more than my sister. And I was annoying to her she wanted to call other high school students her sister.

Hi Depressed,

Sorry to hear, Im feeling quite deppressed and anxious too atm, but one good thing you have in ur life is the love and support of ur parents.

One thing is we never know what will happen in the future, so hopefully you and ur sister can make peace one day, I know it hurts like hell, I lost contact with a friend I called a brother 2 years ago, but I try not to dwell on it and think in the future maybe we can reconcile.

And being single is temparary, u are a good looking cute girl and some day the right guy will come along, I was single for many many years and went thru some bad relationships to find my partner now at near 41 years old.

Im sending you good thoughts, hope they multiply to you on the way 🙂

Hi depressed24,

It sounds so hard to be in your shoes right now when others just dont' seem to understand. Like D, I think it might be a good time to take comfort in the support of your parents. In the end, they're the important ones in your life right now. Friends...teachers... these people come and go in your life but your parents will always be there. Do they know about what you're struggling with?

Do you have a counsellor at school who you can talk to, or another doctor? It sounds like there are a lot of thoughts and feelings that could use help to unload and a counsellor would be lovely and willing to listen. BeyondBlue also has a support line on 1300 22 4636 and the people on that line are trained to listen to your story. They are nothing like the people who have treated you badly so far.

I hope you feel comfortable replying. We'd love to help you along and support you.

James
