Daze all the time

Hi

I would like to ask if anyone has experienced feeling as if in a daze a lot? I am on medication and have been for the past 2 years. I tend to forget things such as one time I left a saucepan on the stove top, left pumpkin boiling far too long; or having a conversation with a friend then sometime later I don't remember specific things we talked about; feel like as if I am in a daze a lot. I tried to explain to my GP but she wants to upped the dosage which I think it'll make things worse. I don't process well nor grasp things as normal people do. Is it the medication or me?

Hello Dolphin, I'm so sorry that no one has replied back to you, but interested in your comment.

Can I ask you if you have seen a traumatic event or had a knock on your head lately because if so, then it may need more than increasing your medication but testing of another nature, so please let me know.

I must admit I know what you are talking about because the same happens with me.

Hope to hear back from you.

Geoff.

Hi Dolphin45,

Welcome to the forums and thanks for your post.

I'm not sure how helpful we can be though because this sounds like more of a medical question, and there's no way we can really give you a decent answer. Any answers would just be guessing given we don't know your history or your medications (or have a Bachelors in Medical science heh).

Perhaps you could talk to your GP more about it? I know that you've talked to your GP already, but they're really the one to go to (or a Psychiatrist). You might want to ask more detailed questions about what's caused this, or if it's side effects, or what would happen if the meds didn't help, or why she/he thinks upping the dosage might help.

The other thing that might be helpful is to try and write things down - when you dazed out/what happened - what you remember. Keeping a list can be really helpful for the GP in learning more about what happens and helping you get them under control.
