The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.
The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.
Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ...
So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...
Now if you're feeling just a little bit lonely
Don't sit at home just mopin'
Come on down to where the friendship flows freely
You know the door is always open
At the BB cafe
Come to the BB cafe
They will help keep your blues at bay
At the BB cafe
Important Message from ModSupport:

Hello Everyone 🙂
Yes, I reckon I would enjoy Beethoven Grandy. And Paul, I reckon I’d like Electric Dreams too. There’s something about 80s movies. I do remember the song well. The last 80s movie I remember seeing was The Karate Kid which I really enjoyed, just as I did many years ago when I first saw it.
Hope you are all having a good week 🤗

There were some good movies and other ... not so good. I liked "The Goonies" but not so fond of Roger Moore as 007. Ghostbusters and "Back to the Future" were good also. Of course, this is purely subjective. What about others here?

Hey Tim, and thankyou
I inadvertently posted the same post twice...ooops
I purchased them prior to my soul mate Vicki passing away in her 40's....recently in late 2022....so we could watch them together. That wont happen unfortunately
I am using all of my lived experience combined with CBT to recover from her passing Tim. Please excuse any typo's or errors
Im doing my best at this time

Dear Paul,
Just wanting to send you support in relation to the loss of your beautiful soul mate Vicki. It’s the hardest of things to deal with. I’m glad though you have some resources you can draw on. May the tender memories be a comfort for you. Remember you always have support here.
Hugs,
ER

Hey there Paul... Double posting and typos are all OK. Makes us human. And sorry to hear about that!
Someone I know wife died before they retired. They had planned some adventures when they both retired. But that never eventuated. I cannot say that I know what that feels like. The things you wanted to with Vicki seem to have the same fate. Really sad.
And your best is (hopefully) enough. In a different post I wrote of my dad's passing, but this was opposite to the above in that there was little feeling for a variety of reasons. So what I can say is that each person's journey is unique and what feelings come and go are OK. And perhaps some of that comes from your mindfulness thread you started. If I could do something to help you recover (your word) ...
I can but listen if that is enough.

Hey Everyone
The Beyond Blue Cafe is a safe place for everyone to post, especially people reading the forums that want to 'test the water' prior to posting on the main forums 🙂
I posted in the Beyond Blue Cafe nearly 10 years ago as I didnt have the confidence to post on the main forums when I was having anxiety attacks .
Any questions are always welcome 🙂
