Game - Continue the Story

Hi. The rules are quite simple.

1. All you have to do is to come up with the next line of a continuing story.
2. Each line can only be a certain number of words in length - No more than 80 characters.
3. By adding a line, you might be completing a sentence, starting a new sentence, not finishing a sentence.
4. You cannot have 2 posts in a row.

Think that is enough. Just to illustrate, a line added to the story could be

A small wooden cottage comes into view next to a old forest. It appears empty

the next player will have to finish the first sentence. Maybe add a start a new sentence. Nobody is in control of the story (or where it goes)? So I will start with.....
