I went out over the weekend and bought some (had no idea what they were until I found them in the shop)

Unfortunately I can't post pics 😞 But heres what I got (you might just have to look them up on the internet for pictures)

ROSE QUARTZ: Carries an energy of compassion and peace, tenderness and healing, comfort and nourishment. "A crystal of unconditional love".

UNAKITE OR EPIDOTE:Brings peaceful sleep and stress releif. It is said to lift your spirits when you are feeling down and to help you see the beauty in life. Also used to uncover deception and help the healing of seperation or abandonment issues.

DALMATION JASPER: Allowing you to move forward in life with stone creates joy and aids you to breakdown barriers that you have created as protection around yourself. May also relieve the need to take revenge on anyone you feel as done you wrong.

JASPER"The nurturing stone" Jasper is primarily about peace and relaxation and gentleness. It aids the ability to relax and come to peace even in difficult situations. This helps bring in wholeness, healing emotionally, kindness, and comfort.

DUMORTIERITE "A stone of order" said to good for organisation, peace and self discipline. Dumortierite is said to calm and focus you in traumatic situations giving you the tools to cope with a crisis and helps mental capacities in overcoming tough situations. In healing this stone is thought to be of benefit for things such as headaches and nausea. Placed gently on an affected area it is said to soothe sunburn (how cool is that?!)

Hi Jay95,

I don't have any gemstones, but want to thank you for your post.

How long have you been interested in gems? Do you find that they do assist you?

My sister and a couple of friends are into crystals and gems, but I don't know much about them. I just admire them for their colours and texture. Some of the gems are beautiful.

I do have a tiger's eye necklace I like and a jade bracelet and some items with amethysts.

Thanks again for your interesting post.

hey! i've only been interested in gemstones since the weekend! i knew nothing about them until saturday.

my housemates are all saying this sort of thing is false and I've wasted my money - but its my choice really. They really are beautiful! So far I think they have been helpful especially with sleep.

If you feel like something is helping you and it is not hurting anyone else, then I don't think you need to be concerned what anyone else thinks.

Guess the thing is to do what feels right for you. Your housemates will no doubt have their own ways of coping with stuff that happens in life.

If you don't mind me asking, is that you in the picture and your dog as well?

Hi Jay95,

I noticed you have changed your picture. Would you like to explain what it represent for you?

Years ago I used to have massages done by a lady who used crystals under the massage bed and all around the room. She would ask me what crystals I would like that day.

As I am a Christian and try to live by Christian principles, I didn't connect with the power of the crystals. I am able to admire their beauty and exsquitiveness. Some of them are so gorgeous and the colours are amazing.

So once again, if it works for you, then that is a good thing. My beliefs work for me and that is all that counts.

Cheers for now from Mrs. Dools   Lauren

Hi Mrs Dools

My current picture is just something I found on the Internet.

its a picture of some street art. It's a young aboriginal boy. The picture stood out for me when I saw it because it looks a lot like me as a child and I also identify as aboriginal.

Hi, jay95

I love gemstones and all their meanings. I work with them.

There are just gazillions of them and they all have different vibrations which resonate with the energies in your aura. Each colour of crystal corollates with one of the chakras. These are points along your aura. If you put  stones of a colour on the matching chakra it is said to aid the areas covered by that chakra.

lots of people dont believe in this stuff, but maybe their wrong!

i have lots of them all over my house and even some in my garden.

i have an old round basket with a lid on it, inside i keep a big assortment of many little polished gemstones. Sometimes it is nice to just look through them one at a time, enjoying their lovely colours and textures. Its nice to look for pictures in the more patterned ones and to muse over the fact that they can come from far away places like siberia, iceland or mexico.  Its incredible to think that they form in the earth over millions of years. You can pick up a gemstone that was already formed before the dinosours were around WOW!   Keep collecting jay95,  from beryl.

Hi Beryl,

Thanks for your very interesting post.

I don't actually believe in the power of a gem stone but I certainly do appreciate their beauty, design, how they are formed, where they are created, the variety of colours they come in, their texture and so much more.

It must be wonderful to have the basket full of gem stones you can reach into and explore at any time!

Some of the gem stones and crystals are just amazing aren't they!

Wishing you lots of peace and healing!
