Moon
I like the one with Irene Dunne and Charles Boyer in 1939 called Love Affair and the one with Deborah kerr and Cary Grant 1957 but not the one with Warren Beatty and Annette Bening . Both later movies were remakes of the Love Affair which I think is wonderful.

Charlie & The Chocolate Factory
{ re Affair...the one with Cary and Deborah...one of the best things I loved was the theme song, can't recall who sung it now.) also love the way that scene of "meeting at the top of the Empire State Building" was resurrected in Sleepless in Seattle with Tom Hanks, Meg Ryan....

Moon, maybe look at love affair 1939 and see what was taken from it for the 1957 version.

Croix and Moon these two are ones I like so very much, both with strong women characters. Frances being a true story is so sad and was so horrible how back in those days strong women were controlled by saying they were mentally ill then locking them up in dreadful insitituions.
Croix, I think it is my fav movie for both Julie walters and Michael Caine.
back to the list.
Gone Girl 2014
I have only seen this one, not read the book and found it disturbing. I would not recommend it for date night or anniversary night!
