It was important with this thread that we maintained perspective and supported each other as best as we could, medical, scientific and public health experts around the world have and still are working hard to contain the virus and treat those affected.

Hi Cala
Your feelings make sense to me.
The virus has put a real dampener on my view of the future, too :-(. Mostly I'm fine and positive, but then sometimes I feel really bummed out because of it.
Now here's a suggestion coming, and please ignore if it doesn't work for you...
When I'm depressed and the kitchen is a mess, sometimes I just go and clean one teacup and then go back to bed and hide under the covers feeling resentful.
Later, I'll have the energy to clean two teacups, and in time it will build gradually from there.
So, all I need to do is take that one first step in the right direction, no matter how small it is.
Hope that helps Cala. Keep posting!

SYT I am sorry you feel this away and I also live in a very cold place and sometimes I am cold inside as well.
I have had a rough start to the year to the first and I know what it is like to have no motivation and to not want to do anything.
I suppose the point is as you are a caring person and I have seen on the forum how compassionate and responsive you are too others. I do know it seems so hard at the moment but I believe you will get through it. You have many people here cheering you on. Spend a day in bed, I am getting up later and later these cold mornings.
Please be kind to yourself and allow yourself to cope as you can. Don't press sure yourself.

Hi Everyone,
I have been reading through your posts and each of us have a story and I agree we are all going through a tough time. Whether we are scared, anxious, depressed or all three as this crazy time of COVID 19 continues to develop.
I believe everyone is suffering but we in a way are lucky as on the forums we gain insight and strength from others and can speak openly and know we are not judged and there are open hearts to listen.
Small steps for each of us are good steps and people here are willing to catch us when we stumble, just reach out.
Too many are suffering in silence.......these forums have helped me so much----I have my good and bad times but getting there.
A big thank you to you all and hope you find some sunshine today.

Hi Meforcats
I can understand your disappointment, especially as you would have been looking forward to the visit.
I don't know how you'd feel about this--and it's perfectly ok to stay in your pjs--but what about taking a walk? I go out twice a day and a make a point of talking to people (from a distance) that I see. Most people are like me, grateful for a little chat. One lady has even invited me to come for coffee when it's safe and I will most certainly join her. Some people move on more quickly but that's ok too. It's nice to be nice and it feels good to talk to another human.
