As a result, we created this thread to allow people to come together here during those difficult times and encouraged those wanting to share or seek support to do so here in this space.
It was important with this thread that we maintained perspective and supported each other as best as we could, medical, scientific and public health experts around the world have and still are working hard to contain the virus and treat those affected.
The Beyond Blue Support Service is available via phone 24/7 on 1300 22 4636 or via beyondblue.org.au/get-support for online chat.

Today was lovely, I went for a walk to get up my steps, and it was great to see so many Australian flags and ANZAC posters about. It was amazing that we were all representing our heros in such uncertian times.
Hope you're all safe and staying well.

Thanks syt , so refreshing to see at least someone else can see too what it's all doing. Unfortunately the very leaders supposedly keeping us safe and treasuring their people and country give me more anxiety and cringe than just about anything else in life tbh buttt, l won't bang on.
l'm so sorry your missing company and about the friend , and the snobby town. l don't fit in in mine either l may as well live on the moon tbh but l do like the house and views so l'm thankful for that until l move . Friends , yeah , l'm afraid l gave up in that department many moons ago l dunno , seems it's some insane expectation expecting some kind of got your back these days and just as crazy giving it because it usually won't be returned from most. You no doubt have some good people in life your missing too though and l hope you can catch up with some and others along this road very soon.
You take care. rx

Welcome seadreamer and dw74,
to the forum and well done for making your first post on this thread.
Seadreamer Thanks for sharing the ideas that work for you during theses days .
I think being aware of what you miss and acknowledging those feelings is helpful.
I think music and dancing is a good way to do exercise.
dw74,I am glad you have found a song to play by reading a post. Feel free topost here as much as you like and let us know if want about what is working for you.

I am sure the combination of cutting down on CV news generally, a lot less than I was...and at the same time going for at least one 35-40 minute walk a day ( in nature if possible) has helped tremendously. Sometimes I do two walks a day or a one hour walk. Helpful.
I still have days when I wake up with a headful of anxiety..but I get straight out of bed and do something. I just don't lie in bed when I feel that crush of anxiety.
The above said...as human beings' we need to know where we are going...this not knowing is the creator of high anxiety for sure. Best I do at the moment is the combo of walking and getting into nature. When you look at the ocean, the sky, the beach..you would never know there is anything going on in the world. It is a breather, a respite and so welcome right now.
Hope any of that is helpful. All the best. K.B

I did not have a great day today and needed to talk so rang the support line. I spoke for half an hour and the advice and kind tone was really appreciated and assisted me in calming down before I drove home. I will be in touch with my gp and downloaded apps headspace and smiling mind. Thank you so much. I am grateful I had someone to talk to on one of my bad days. Thanks to everyone who give up their time to help others.
I will be donating hopefully next week to help keep this service going.
