I watch reddit on youtube and happened to have this one pop up this morning .
As someone that took 8 years and many bad counselors to find the right one i thought that this might give a insight into what you can look for in one . I wish that i had this at the start on my recovery .

Hi longwaygone,
An interesting video.
I am lucky in that both my psychologist and psychiatrist I was referred to were the right ones for me. Yet I have seen numerous stories on the forums here and in a couple of conversations. It is very important there is a good rapport between the client and therapist, as well as the therapist putting themselves into space of the client, and statements like "you need to ..." are not helpful.
With that said when a person goes to the therapist for help, that person also have responsibilities and obligations. ie the (good) relationship is like a dance with each person listening and responding appropriately.
Thanks for the link.
Tim
