Dear All,
I am asking for how you deal with an active panic/anxiety moment. What is your technique, and can you explain it for me, so I may replicate it when I am in need. They can be at home, but I am also interested in techniques for when I am outside and in public places.
I would like as many answers as possible.
I appreciate any and all of your experience and advice.
Thank you,

Thank you Thorney,
I do journal. I didn’t like it at first, but when I share bits I have marked with my mental health professional, it can help us identify if anything needs to be actioned or even just validated.
I used to be scared others could find it and read it, but now I think it is their fault for picking up and reading something that isn’t theirs. It isn’t a novel. It doesn’t look like one either.
Thank you for your last paragraph, it is very true.

Hello ABC01,
I just thought I'd mention if you are worried about others finding your journal and reading it, you can actually get journal/diary apps for your phone that can keep it more private. I have just started using a free app called Day One which I'm using on my computer instead of my phone, but it can be used on either.
Years ago I did journalling and found it helpful then. Then I went through a long phase in which it wasn't helpful. But I have just started again and I'm finding it helpful again. I think it certainly can be helpful externalising thoughts and feelings that are otherwise sometimes just percolating amorphously inside. It can give some kind of form and crystallisation to those inner feelings, making it a bit easier to make sense of your inner world.
All the best,
ER
