Welcome to the forum!
You will be glad to know that you need not feel embarrassed or silly on this forum. Also, you are just as worthy as others to receive support. There will always be people in 'worse' situations, but this doesn't change the fact that you need and deserve help.
Would you mind sharing how long you've had this anxiety for? Have you seen a doctor or other professional about your mental health in the past? I too have anxiety, which was first diagnosed a decade ago when I was 13. I'm also a perfectionist, and being hard on ourselves is often linked to this. There are some great resources that were recommended to me by a lovely nurse. You can find these by clicking on this link: http://www.cci.health.wa.gov.au/resources/consumers.cfm There is a document here on perfectionism that would be especially useful.
Making an appointment with your doctor (GP) is a great way to move forward. You can explain how you've been feeling and what is concerning you. The doctor may refer you to another professional for extra support.
