Sleep anxiety

Hi

I am writing this as I wake in a panic most days. lots of things have been going on for me lately. Lost job, home with 2 young children and struggling to cope, relationship issues (don’t love my myself yet alone my partner).

Every day I exhaust myself trying to run from the anxiety in any way.. walking a lot and just trying to keep busy,

have thought about ending it all however would never do that to my family.

Life hurts right now .

Hi Cmgal.

welcome to the forums and thank you for reaching out!

I'm sorry you are going though some rough times - its brutal, you are not alone here.

I encourage you to see a GP, get a mental health care plan and a referral to a psychologist. I cannot recommend them enough. I've been seeing one for about 5 months now and I feel like im starting to navigate depression/anxiety and OCD.

Are you able to talk to close friends/family? As hard as it is, talking and opening up can be very liberating.

Its hard to believe right now, but it does get better.

we're all here for you.

Thanks Gambit87,

I have been seeking help (seeing a psychologist) and my close circle know of my condition.

Struggling on for my family and working on my mental health.

Nice to know i am not alone.

I used to feel so alone, didn't know who to turn to for help.

Once I did open up - I couldn't believe the love and support I had.

I hope you're having a better day today!

just reading your post and can totally relate to the waking up each day to anxiety panic disorder .Ive been so tired lately and yes it certainly makes you feel crap .i wake at 6am every morning some mornings are worse than others .i have been trying mindfulness and the one thing that helped control my anxiety swimming i cant do .i cant do due to the c virus pools are still shut .i am in regular contact gp phschcitrist and counciler .i find that any stressful situations i totally avoid . i do have to carry a diary with me now so i dont forget things .i find anxiety can do that .i hope you can find a counciler with your gp it does help .I wish there was a off button for anxiety you could say stop and it did id be first in line .i wish you well and hope you can get to a counciler with your gp .
