I'm sure this has been asked many many times. But I'd like to know what everyone does to help with their anxiety. I refuse to take anti depressants. I know exercise helps. What else can everyone suggest? I'd love to hear your opinions.

Hi Jasper J, welcome to the forums. Have you seen the sticky thread at the top of this section?
SELF HELP TIPS FOR MANAGING ANXIETY
There's also some great threads in the Staying Well section, and plenty of non-medical remedies in the beyondblue Guide To What Works For Anxiety.

Hi there Jasper J.
I find exercise as a great stress/anxiety release; and the harder intensity the better, so I’m forever pushing myself to the limits physically. If only I had more time, I’d do that even more.
Having a good clean diet and drinking loads of water, is a massive help.
Having your day structured, so things are planned out in advance – to save yourself from having any (or to try and keep to a bare minimum) out of the blue occurrences that may crop up. Sometimes they do and so enter Anxiety City and out of comfort zone, but if you can keep to a regimented routine, things usually go along reasonably ok.
Just a couple of thoughts there for you.
Neil

Hello Jasper, it might help if we knew what you'd tried already so we don't suggest things that you've already had a go at. Neil has given you some great suggestions and that self help thread has many things in it as well. Have you tried all of those things already?
