OCD subtypes and Pure OCD

Hi everyone, this is my first thread so I’m not entirely sure how this usually works but I was just wondering if there is anyone who would like to talk about the lesser known subtypes of OCD? I have HOCD/SOCD but I know there are others. If there is anyone who has managed to overcome these or would just like to talk about them you are welcome to share because I know how difficult it can be living with OCD

Hi StrayDetective

Thank you for your kind words about my daughter.

After a period of two intense years of severe illness commencing when she was 13 years old my girl did go into what we call remission. In other words, she was mostly healthy and experienced only periodic episodes of being symptomatic.

She graduated high school, went on to university, worked part time, traveled and fell in love. But OCD was always lurking in the background (despite ongoing treatment) and the stressful impact of lockdowns triggered a major relapse.

With CBT, medication and a ton of love she is working her way back to reclaim her life again.

I know she will succeed. She is the most amazing and brave person I know.

Thank you again for your kindness.

Kind thoughts to you
