Not getting the help I need

I have diagnosed general, social and performance anxiety...
I have told a few people in my life and hoped for support in response, yet I feel as though I am getting them opposite.
I have people telling me that "everyone has it" therefore invalidating my calls for help in times where I need it most. I had my second full blown public anxiety attack in class the other day with no one who was willing to check up on me afterwards. It sounds petty, selfish and stupid, but I feel like people who say they have a mental illness just because they got "nervous one day" take away the support and validation of those (like me) who have a genuine mental illness.

Hi there MacaroniNoodles, welcome to the forums. Love your username by the way.
I'm very sorry to hear about your struggles. Those people who have been telling you "everyone has it" are wrong, that's not true at all.
If I was in your class, I definitely would have checked up on you, but you're on the forums now so that's great, so here's me checking in on you now. Are you doing alright?
None of how you're feeling is petty, selfish or stupid. You and your feelings are valid, and it's okay to feel this way and have a lot of emotions.
You're not any less of a person because you have mental illnesses and diagnoses of what you mentioned. If anything, I think it makes you and anyone else who struggles with mental health stronger, mentally and physically.
Do you have a GP, Psychologist and/or Psychiatrist at all if you don't mind me asking?
Please know that you joining the forums is a huge step in itself and that's courageous and brave so good on you, and for sharing your story. It takes a lot of strength which you have.
As my profile picture says, you're worth it.
I'm always here if you need me, here or anywhere on the forums. I'm 20 by the way but age is just a number I suppose, I still care about you and I'll do my best to try and support you in any way that I can.
I hope you're doing alright and you can seek support, and that the forums are a good place for you. They're moderated for peace of mind too so it's safe here.
Take care, be safe. Love and hugs, hope to see you around on the forums.
Tayla xx
