Welcome to you Laser, and well done in making your first post here. Its often a surprisingly difficult step to take for many.

Wow, you are dealing with a lot arent you? I can relate to several of those myself - I too have PTSD and OCD, both of which are anxiety disorders. I also suffer from bouts of depression resulting from my PTSD and pain from a long term injury I have.

You will find many people here with the same disorders as yourself, and it does help to be able to discuss skills and experiences with others who have gone through the same thing. You will also find many very compassionate and understanding people here from all walks of life, who are happy to support others in any way they can. It sounds as though we can now add you to that list of people receiving and dispensing care and support to many others. Its a pleasure to have you as a part of the BB community.

If you havent already done so, can I suggest you browse other threads in the sections of the forums you have a particular interest in, eg Anxiety or PTSD and Trauma. Feel free to post a reply to any existing threads that you have something to add, or have any questions. Your input will always be most welcome.

You will also find it helpful to connect with other members here by taking part in some of the BB Social Zone and Staying Well threads. Thats where people tend to go when they need a bit of chill out time from the more serious sections of the forums.

If, or when, you feel ready to talk further about your own personal experiences, please go ahead and do so. It can definitely be a release to voice (or in this case write about) our fears and concerns. Please know that these forums are a secure place in which we can anonymously discuss our MH issues with fellow sufferers, our peers.

I look forward to hearing from you further, and to seeing you around other threads as well. Again ... welcome!

hi LaserBeamOCD, I'd like to welcome you to the site, and yes I'm really sorry to learn of what you have been struggling with, and your involvement will be much appreciated, because everybody has their own experiences and I'm not talking about our pleasures in life, but what we have had to try and overcome with our depression.
Depression includes so many symptoms, different sorts of illnesses associated with this MH, and more often than not, when you have one then there's another one close by.
I've got depression, anxiety, PTSD, social anxiety and OCD, but have fortunately been able to overcome them at the moment, except for OCD, but there is every possibility that I could have a relapse like I have over the past.
Thanks for joining the site. Geoff.

Thanks Geoff!

Thanks so much Sherie.
