From your title I'm presuming that your getting a lot of phone calls daily from your ex b/f.. is it possible to change your phone number?

Are you able to block the number on your phone?

That is all you should have to do. And if he calls from a different number block that to. Give him ultimatum first? That number sounds a tad extreme.
