Well it’s been a little while since I’ve posted something. After going to a great festival I’ve come back feeling less anxious and feeling better about life. I still have moments of loneliness but hopefully I’ll be able to concentrate on making connections and making new friends.

Hi Rusty
I did post on your old thread, wondering how you were doing. Nothing has changed on my end, yours sounds like it's a bit better. Hope it continues to improve. Around here, it's a bit of a nightmare with the Great Western Hwy close for goodness knows how many months, with no one having brains to realise a 200 year old convict causeway couldn't last forever! Makes me wonder about the human race, period! Hope you keep happy and busy.

Hi Alikiwi
Thanks for your replies, thankfully things are heading in the right direction for me just keep to connect with people but I know I just have to keep at it.
Sounds like it’s tough with what sounds like a major road being closed. I gather it makes life a bit harder when you want to travel to get out and about. I hope things improve for you as I know how hard life can be.
All the best

Hello Rusty, Alikiwi,
Its good to hear that things are heading in the right direction…I’ve been living in my town now for around 10 years and have only made one really good friend, being a very small town where everyone knows each other…the resident’s friends group and progress society do not let newbies in….one day it will all fizzle out completely as they are all elderly….
Alikiwi, the closure of that highway has made it near impossible for me to visit my children…the detour makes the trip so much longer around 2 hours extra on an already 6-7 journey…makes it a full days drive……I have heard it could take up to 4-5 years to repair/replace….
Feeling disappointed in our government..
Grandy..

Hi Ggrand,
The detour should only add half an hour to the trip, unless there is an accident (so far three) which being mostly single lane blocks the road completely. Should only take a few months at most to repair, but it then needs to be bypassed completely at least with four lanes to go around/over it. Meanwhile Lithgow's small roads are getting utterly hammered!
