Hi
I didn't know what section to write this in.
Since i wrote my latest post about my neighbour, ive been starting to think is is moraly ok too talk about others in a negative light on a public platform?
I'd be mortified and furious if someone did about me so does that make it wrong for me to write about someone else?
Does anyone else at times have a niggle feeling of guilt? And wonder if its moraly wrong or right?

Dear Lynne~
One of the greatest advantages of this forum is that it is anonymous. Great lengths are gone to to ensure your identity is not reveled, no pictures, no names, no employers, not even which branch of the military a person might serve in.
This of course protects you, but it also protects others whose actions or words you might describe. While I can see in some court or tribunal a 'right of reply' might be in order in this place it is about how life is affecting you, and the results in terms of your mental well-being or condition.
Obviously the reader has to take everyone as talking in good faith, and I'm sure just about everyone here does so, in fact I'd say the greatest inaccuracies we see here are people judging themselves too harshly.
So all I can say is that if something affects you then describing the events or persons is quite legitimate.

Hi Lynne
Croix is spot on with his post above
If the conduct of any individual (and yes..even a neighbor!) is having a detrimental effect on your mental health I dont see a problem with you or anyone communicating their thoughts as Beyond Blue do ensure that your privacy (and well being) is paramount on the forums
I have done the same Lynne. This is a rock solid safe place for you to post. I am a volunteer on the forums as you know and here to provide the best support I can. You are a valued member on the forums Lynne and its great to have you 'on the air' with us
I dont see a problem
be gentle to yourself 🙂
