I have work this week and I’m too anxious to talk to my employer. I’ve not shown up to jobs before but I don’t want to do this anymore but I feel it’s happening again. Any one have advice on what to do

Has anything happened between your boss and you at work lately? It can be very stressful to communicate if there is tension between you. Think of potential causes, if you can, and try to address them. Perhaps consult EAP, if there is one for your company. If you find it difficult to talk to your boss about the situation, consider sending an email.

Hi Anita,
You seem very nervous about the whole work situation. Well done on trying to push through it though 🙂
I really like Hope.for.the.best’s suggestions especially trying to figure out why you’re feeling the way you are about work. Also, if you haven’t shown up to jobs before, I wonder if you have pinpointed the reason. I would hazard a guess that there might be a deeper underlying reason that this happens repeatedly e.g. anxiety, self esteem issues, etc. Just my thoughts but I may be way off track too...
You’re always welcome to come back to this thread to talk more if you would like to do so.
Thinking of you.
Kind thoughts,
Pepper

You could try using an advocacy service that represents you and your needs on your behalf. At my anxiety support group last night two were mentioned: Ability Links and New Horizons. They can help you out to discover why you don't want to go to work and work on a solution to getting you back.
