Hi Anita,
I have seen some of your older posts that also deal with anxiety at work. I'm sorry you haven't yet been able to reduce this anxiety.
Returning to work after time off can make work anxiety so much bigger! I am due to return to work soon from Maternity Leave and even though it is still a three weeks away I panic about it at least once a day! I hate the thought of going back there, but I know that after a week it will feel like I never left and my anxiety will reduce.
Psychologists can help, but I have found it really depends on whether I click with the psychologist and also the type of therapy they are committed too. I found that Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) really works better for me than Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). This is different for everyone.
Have you tried medication? I know a lot of people are reluctant to go on anti-depressants, but they can really make a big difference, especially for long term issues.
Kind thoughts, Jess
