My doctor recently diagnosed me with anxiety. It took me a long time make that appointment, despite thinking about it for at least 6 months. She referred me to a psychologist, it took me another month to make that appointment. Which is tomorrow morning. Does anyone have any tips as to what to expect? I am very nervous and maybe having an idea of what will happen will help me feel more prepared.
Thank you 🙂

dear Cammy, the first couple appointments will just be to know you, but what I would do is write down on a piece of paper or list the problems that concern you, and then give her the list, and please be upfront on this list, don't hide anything.
She will look at the list and then ask you about whether you are married, children, brothers, sisters and so on, so the first couple of visits will be just to know you, which is very important.
If you start to cry then that's good, sorry, but it will indicate to her that you have problems deeper than maybe on that list.
Please let us know how you got on. Geoff.
