Today is Easter,
For some people Easter can feel isolating and lonely.
If you are feeling this way today please try to practice some self care .
You could call a friend or family
Go for a walk outside in nature and practice mindfulness
Practice meditation
Cuddle a pet
Be kind to yourself
Practice gratefulness
Be the giver ( giving always makes us feel good inside)
Change your surroundings….
Im sure there are many other self care tips…. Maybe you could suggest some on this thread?

An important one for me is to work through psychology "home-work sheets". There are lots of different worksheets out there associated with different therapy styles. I have found Schema Therapy "homework" very beneficial.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to @Petal22 for posting this as I am sure it will be incredibly helpful during Easter which can be isolating and lonely.
Thank you also @yggdrasil for your advice too regarding working on 'home-work sheets'! That is a very structured and important way of doing things.
I would also like to add that something that helps me when I am feeling isolated or lonely is to prepare ahead of time a 'self care toolkit' so I can really focus on the things that make me happier or good during challenging times

I know Easter is nearly over so I would like to acknowledge that other people reading maybe celebrating other religious festivals.
Sometimes I feel isolated with all the emphasis on Easter but I found spending time with my family reading and singing songs and making special food to be uplifting.
I hope Easter was a happy one for everyone.
