Cat gone missing: Really anxious

Hi,

I have recently been diagnosed with depression and anxiety, My kitten has been a really good supportive little animal for me this past few months. Tonight my kitten hasn't come home (like he usually does) for his dinner and sleep. I am really worried about him. I went looking everywhere for him and can't find him. Does anyone have any advice/ calming words for me? I'm starting an important placement for university tomorrow and don't want to stay up the whole night worried :'(

Hello elsbells and Welcome to the forums too!

Anxiety/Depression are a major pain. I have had them since 1983....now depression...the anxiety does lose its 'grip' which is the good news 🙂

I have been involved in dog rescue for years Elsbells.....How long have you had you kitten? I would be distraught if I had a four legged companion didnt come home too 😞

Cats normally come home to where they are fed and cared for a lot better than my dog would.....seriously

Please post back when you can to let us know whats happening if you wish

My kind thoughts

Oh no you poor thing. It's the worst feeling when your little baby (cat) dosent come home. My cat was the king of doing this.

I seriously wouldn't stress. He could of caught a bird today and be full and tonight as my mum would say when I was young the cat is at a cat party. I would then generally get meowing at the door at 4am and a suss, guilty cat coming home. It's like having a teenager sneaking out to party's.

Cats do this at times. Remember they are really smart animals and can make there way home from far distances. Just leave some food and water out and your kitten will turn up soon with a guilty face.
