Hi Steve

Welcome and good on you for having the courage to post too!

Im sorry that you are experiencing these feelings of anxiety. I understand what you are going through as Ive had the same awful feelings for a long time.

The shortness of breath and feeling overwhelmed are very common,

The quickest way to have some peace is to see your GP as they have a good understanding of what you are going through. I started getting the same feelings in my early 20's except I didn't see my GP as I thought it was a waste of time. I was very wrong.

I really hope you can post back and let us know how you are going. There are many super gentle people on the forums that can be here for you. If you have a lot of stress in your life at the moment it could explain why you are feeling this way.

If you are having sleep problems/ anxiety or panic attacks you are not alone here in any way

You are very strong for reaching out here....

I hope you can stick around and let us know what you have been going through

My kind thoughts for you Steve

Paul

Hi Steve, welcome

The best advice I can steer you towards is to read this thread I wrote a few years ago. I'm almost free of anxiety now and no panic attacks.

Use google

Other threads that might help are-
