hi so about?? 2 weeks ago I searched up brain tumours out pure anxiety since I was having pins and needles in my arms a lot (turned out to be a b12 deficiency) ever since I feel like I’ve been on the decline, heart palpitations, headaches sometimes, twitching/muscle spasms. I’ve seen an eye doctor to rule out the possibility that my eyes are just bad since I also know eye tests can detect tumours (I came out with great vision) I went to see a doctor multiple times and she told me it’s simply my anxiety since my blood tests came back clean with zero abnormalities. She told me not to google my symptoms and just enjoy life but I can’t seem to shake the fact that something is wrong with me, is this jsut a form of health anxiety or do I have the right to be anxious? I made her do a neurological test on me and she said I was fine.. a lot of symptoms have only come up after googling it and it makes me terrified

Hi Kingbabyw,
Welcome to the forums and thank you for joining us. I'm really glad that you reached out because it sounds like things have been really hard - thinking that you have a brain tumour must be terrifying.
Your question 'is this just a form of health anxiety or do I have the right to be anxious?' I think the answer can be both! It is completely natural for all of us (health anxiety or not) to get anxious when something physical happens or something that's out of the ordinary. Us humans are just a problem-solving bunch, we want to know what's going on, and why. I guess the trouble is and whether health anxiety comes in, is that the answers don't match up in our heads, like "it can't all be anxiety when everything resembles this or that"
The idea of a brain tumour is terrifying, but the majority of the symptoms there can also be explained by anxiety.
I hope this helps a little - you are in good company here so feel free to reach out and look at our other threads on health anxiety too.

Hi Kingbabyw,
I too welcome you to the forum and see that rt has replied to you. I too find that once I have a thought in my mind that something is wrong, it is hard to let go of that thought and even when it is proven wrong I still doubt the outcome.
It is important to have health checks. Dr. Google can be of assistance, but like rt mentioned anxiety can cause so many varying symptoms that can mirror mayor issues, it does help to check them out with a Dr.
Have you done much reading on what helps with anxiety? Looking at the symptoms of anxiety can be beneficial and may at the same time increase your reactions to anxiety! So finding a way to help yourself through anxious moments is beneficial.
When are you having the CT scan? Can you take someone with you to the appointment?
Can you consider what is making you anxious about the CT scan and then consider more realistic considerations?
If you are struggling while having the CT scan done, let someone at the centre know so they can reassure you.
Some deep breathes might help!
All the best from Doolhof.
