Hi. I'm new here. I am extremely anxious when needing to leave the house due to a back injury. My back is healing but I get so anxious when I actually need to leave the house it's really stressful and affecting all aspects of my life. I have a supportive family and work but I am still struggling to want to leave the house. I feel safer at home.
I'm trying to break the cycle.
I wondered if anyone else has been through something similar and can share to 1. help me not feel alone and 2. what they did about it.

Hello and welcome
I can understand how easy it is to stick to our comfort zone and not wanting to leave it. Especially when our sickness makes it hard to leave the house. It can be very hard to venture out again without a worry.
Maybe trying little tiny steps first like a small walk and see how it goes. Once you get comfortable, you can
go further and for longer and the anxiety might slowly disappear. I'd be careful with pushing it as it can make us feel even worse. Sometimes all it needs is to keep reminding ourselves that everything is fine and it's safe to leave the house.
I hope that it helped a little, please be nice to yourself and let us know how you're going whenever you feel like
