Dear CMF and All,

It’s ok to feel those things. Have a good cry if you need to. Sending you a big hug 🤗 Unlike last year I can hear a few parties in my little town tonight.

 I hope people are having a peaceful time, a partying time, or whatever they want it to be tonight. I’ve had a couple of chats with relies on the phone in other parts of Oz.

I’m trying to choose an AC/DC song MK. I’m thinking Shook Me All Night Long or It’s a Long Way to the Top. I always like some bagpipes! I’ve got some Scottish in me.

Actually the nearest party to me is playing The Waiting by Tom Petty at the moment. I love that song and so many others by Tom Petty.

Oh My Whiskers, don't blame me, Fiatlux, it was Paul who suggested I'd like AC/DC ...  Did they have any quiet ballads?

In Qld I"ve a little longer to wait. Enjoying the Billy Joel - so many songs are familiar. I really hadn't been paying enough attention to his music.

.... How about Mull of Kintyre, Danny Boy, or Auld Lang Syne, as performed by AC/DC? Couldn't they play these quiet enough for me? ...

MK, that may be feasible if we can bring back Bon Scott. You may know this already but before AC/DC he played in a prog rock band called Fraternity - so a bit folky, experimental etc. Their song Seasons of Change is on YouTube in which he sings relatively sedately and plays the recorder (yes, the recorder!).

So I think a a hybrid version of the songs you mention with AC/DC are definitely achievable.

I'm so down. What is the point of life? I'm very tired & overthinking.  Keep picturing M happy & having all he wants in life while I'm so lonely.  It's stupid of me considering I wasn't that happy when together but happy seeing him casually.  I just don't trust him though. Can't believe what he says cos I know he says what people want to hear.

Matchy69....Its always a bonus to see you 'on the air' I took a leaf out of your book and posted on 'How we can improve the forums' The moderators are excellent.  Just for me its difficult to track any posts which is a design flaw. I hope you have a good time with your kids!  All the best for 2024! 

Country Music Festival...New Years Eve was a pain flying solo. Actually went to bed at 10:30pm (((CMF)))  I understand how you felt last night...Its am empty feeling feeling isolated even though empowered/strong. xx
