Sorry you are not feeling well and hope you feel better soon. The rspca are always getting in kittens and good idea to wait to its a bit cooler. Its been real hot and humid here again.I have just been sorting out paperwork for the ndis So hopefully it gets approved.

hi Mark, I was able to get a laptop with the NDIS. I dont really love the one I chose, but I got it. I got it because I got a letter from a Mental Health OT with a list of functions I would use it for.

Hi sleepy thanks for that information.I will see what they say today.I hope you have been ok.

I put in for approval for a laptop but the NDIS person wasn't there and the one I had dealt with before had left.I will get a letter from the doctor or OT.

Getting his uniforms thursday from the school. He needs a formal as well as sports uniform. So much to buy.The school special needs head rung and said he can borrow a laptop and make sure he is clean if he has any mishaps.

Hi Mark and Sleepy and all

I'm not long home, it's much cooler today and I had to run a couple of errands this morning - so much nicer with a coolish breeze.  We may get a thunderstorm later on.  It sounds like getting assistance from the NDIS is a bit like Centrelink - lots of paperwork and running/phoning around.  I am glad they gave you a laptop Sleepy, and Mark I sure hope you can get one for your son.

I can imagine the school uniforms aren't cheap either.   I had a friend where I lived previously who needed to buy a special jumper for her daughter at school but couldn't afford it - she was in private rentals so you can imagine a single Mum having to pay rent and work and raise two daughters alone - one of the teachers told her daughter "your mother can't afford to get you the jumper" which really upset my friend when she heard as it was so embarrassing for her and no doubt upset her daughter.

Sleepy I hope you are going OK there.

Yes it's just too humid here, I will wait and get kitty some time heading more towards Autumn, which is a lovely season.  There were two litters adopted out from the RSPCA late last week, but it was blazing hot and I was coming down with this virus and not feeling great - and it's a long drive to the town where they are. So I've put it off until later - and I still have to put the cat tree together that got deiivered the other day - it's a bit tricky!

Hi Hanna I hope you are starting to feel better.I got a laptop for my daughter 3 years ago and driving lessons which we had to go through a OT acessment for that.My son needs a laptop as his writing is unreadable and will need to do all his work on that. The school knows and will work with him.His reading level is pretty low to but improving.Basic things that are really hard for him.

Just had a big storm here with lots of rain and some thunder.Been a very humid day here.

Just looked at the invoice and he has emailed it to the wrong address after telling him the right one.My anxiety is just going through roof with this.I wish I had dealt with the ndis person directly.

Hi Mark, what a pain.  It's really hard when you don't have an actual person to talk to, I hate the way government departments do this!  Is the office far away from you?  Otherwise I guess you have to phone someone again.  I know what it's like dealing with Centrelink - I think government departments intentionally try to grind the public down so they give up!

Hang in there, it will get sorted eventually!

The school won't allow a private OT at the school which we have unfortunately can't use.She is a NDIS funded one.
