Hi Mark, it's been really hot and humid here too - everyone says this weather used to happen in Feburary and this summer it's all the summer! I can understand why you wouldn't want to clean out the shed in this weather.
Mark do you ever watch Top Gear? I saw something about it and I think I could get hooked on it - it looks like quite a bit of fun. The library here has DVDs of it and I've requested a couple of them.
It's so hot here already I am just wondering where to go for a coffee this morning - the sun is blazing outside.

Hi Mark, everyone was complaining about the humidity here today - it was one of the hottest days we've had I think. I can imagine how hot you were! I never watched Top Gear but I saw a bit last night on utube and thought it looked like a bit of fun - the library has several of their videos so I'll give that a go.
Wow school back that soon, the holidays fly by don't they? I hope you have a good catch up on the weekend.
The RSPCA here today only had cats for sale that had health problems, or else you had to take another cat also - they brother or sister or kitten - and I don't want a cat with health problems at the moment, although I feel sorry for them, I need a break after poor Sam being so sick and all the vet bills for that - and I don't have room for two cats! I might wait until it's a bit cooler - see how it goes.
Had a chat with the neihghbours this afternoon, everyone is hot and tired today. I hope tomorrow is a bit cooler.
You have a good evening Mark! Best wishes to Sleepy, mmMekitty and all.

Hi Hanna sometimes they can't sell any cats as their is virus going through and the animals are quarantined. Its a new facility and does have a vet surgery on it but no vets but according to my daughter they can't afford vets and just you a vet in town. Not sure how that really works.
The six weeks have flown by of school holidays. They started a week earlier then they normally do and so will start week earlier as they usually start right at the end of the month.Somehow worked at that way.
Seems to be a bit cooler here then yesterday with some wind.Hopefully you get some relief.
My bought bought over her The Office DVDs for me to watch it is her favourite show.

Hi Mark, the school holidays seem to have raced by!
I watched a bit of Top Gear last night, they were driving Lamborghinis - what beautiful cars. My brother once hired a Lamborghini to drive from Melbourne to Sydney. I had a ride in it and when it took off it was like a rocket! We drove down to Canberra and of course my brother speeded and got booked by the police. Even just hiring it cost a fortune. I think he wanted to show off.
There's a rescue organisation having a cat adoption day tomorrow at the Petbarn in the next big town but they insist on checking your home before you can take a cat and I think that's getting a bit too much. I don't think I should have to pass a property inspection before getting a kitten. I'll keep watching the RSPCA site!

I'm sorry to heat that Mark, that is disappointing when you were looking forward to his visit.
That's the reason I was bothered at the recent Lifeline book fair here - they had it in one room at the RSL and it was so crowded it was hard to move - in an enclosed room - all I could think of what how many people would catch something like covid or any virus. They used to hold it outdoors under cover which I thought was much better.
At least your brother is doing the right thing and not spreading it to you and your children. I hope he can manage a visit another time.

Good luck with the NDIS Mark, I really hope they can help with the laptop, they aren't cheap! I'm surprised that it's so difficult for you to get one through them,I thought they assisted with things like that for school.
I am down with some kind of bug I think, just feeling dizzy and unwell - I felt a bit off yesterday and thought it was the heat but I think I've caught something, so a quiet day here. It's threatening to storm I think. Would you believe the RSPCA got in a litter of kittens two days ago and I missed them - but I was taliing with friends and saying to them it's so hot this summer in these units that I think I will delay a few more weeks until we are heading more towards Autumn.
I have the cat tree and instructions but putting it together will have to wait for another day!
