Hi everyone,
Not sure where to start so hope I can express myself clearly and maybe with others' input we can expand on this. I'm interested in people's thoughts/ experience with meditation, manifesting, gratitude & the law of attraction. I've recently started using the Smiling Mind app to meditate when going to sleep and sometimes when feeling a little anxious, like tonight. It is something i thought i could never do as my mind rarely stops, however, with persistence, I find I enjoy it. I guess i tend to have a negative mindset which I am determined to change.I always felt uneasy about thinking positive things as i thought i would jinx myself, and that whenever I made a positive comment or felt happy it would go wrong or something negative would happen. So i refrained from allowing myself to be too happy, I guess to 'protect' myself. Recently i have been feeling happier, stronger, expressing gratitude and taking note of when things have come to me when i needed them. Coincidence, or answers to what i put out to the Universe? I like to think the latter. A work colleague one day told me to manifest something i wanted, put it out to the universe , so I'm trying. Example, recently we needed to measure the floor space at reception so we could calculate how many people we could have in at one time. I needed a tape measure, which i did not have. At that moment our handyman walked into the office. Guess what he had? I am getting into the habit of practising positive thinking instead of thinking/expecting negatives. If something 'negative' does crop up, it can be dealt with, it's not the end of the world. I look for the positive in every negative situation. I am becoming more aware of being grateful for little things, things like getting a good car park at work, a warn cosy bed, a tidy house. I feel when i am expressing gratitude I am putting positive thoughts out into the universe and I notice more positives instead of focusing on negatives. Late last week we had internet issues at work and a colleague i found a little annoying. I've been feeling very drained, agitated, negative for a few days. This morning things were not running smoothly for me. A result of my negative mind perhaps? Little things became a big deal, my morning was crap. If i look back, it wasn't really an issue, i just did things in a different order which gave me more relax time this evening. The Law of Attraction, positive thoughts, positive experiences.
What are your thoughts?

I'm vibing a little low. Not feeling 100% physically plus it's cold & rainy, work is busy. No 'me' time.

Hi CMF
Any chance of booking in some holidays to look forward to, regarding work? Can recall feeling completely exhausted at work until I booked in for leave. While still feeling somewhat exhausted, every time I felt myself getting closer to that time off it gave me a bit of a charge in the lead up. Even if you can't take leave for another 3 months, for example, that's technically 3 months of an exciting countdown to a sense of freedom and adventure. Can be a little slow going, starting 3 months out, but time seems to fly these days.
The weather is definitely bordering on blah. Do you think imagining certain treats, reserved only for the colder months, might help ease the impact? Buy yourself the fluffiest dressing gown you can find. Due for a new set of Ugg boots perhaps? Always dreamed of having an electric blanket? Changing things up with some new aromatherapy scents that may lead you to feel more joy in the darker months could be something that helps take the edge off the blah feeling just a little, maybe. A romantic get away with a fireplace in the room you're staying in could be something else to look forward to. What are some things you can only treat yourself with in the colder months? Throw in an in room relaxation massage with that fireplace and sense how that leads you to feel. Can you see it? Can you feel it? Can you smell the massage oil?

Thanks for asking. I did manage to pick myself up only to crash again. It's people. I let the actions of others get to me, then I hold onto it & let it fester. Approaching the person &dealing with it helps but it lingers. People's energy affects me also.

Ahh, the ups and downs of being a feeler. Life can definitely become highly triggering.
Not sure if I mentioned it but my 2 kids are feelers. My daughter simply won't tolerate my stressed energy at times. She's been known to say 'Mum, stop it, I can feel what you're doing to me. Stop it right now. You need to manage this because you're also getting yourself worked up, as well as me'. With my kids being highly intuitive people, my daughter won't just shut me down, regarding how I feel, she'll often lead me to a solution that naturally comes to mind for her.
While my son enjoys practicing the art of emotional detachment to some degree, I've asked him on occasion whether he thinks he takes it to the extreme at times. He admits it happens on occasion but not in any deeply concerning way. He typically only feels for people he likes and kind of ignores the rest. He admits it can be a problem at times, especially when it comes to forming an emotional connection with new people. I think one of the reasons he enjoys this new found sense of freedom is based on him finding it a relief from all those heartbreaking years where he was bullied at school. No heartbreak these days, far more genuine self love and self respect. He's still a sensitive soul yet now manages his sensitivity and emotional connections carefully and strategically.
Emotional connections/channels can be so hard to work out at times. Open them up, close them down, turn up the volume on them (feel more) or lower it (feel less)? Hard to know what to do sometimes. Can become seriously exhausting work just trying to figure it all out.

Hi all,
Thanks for the support. I did raise my vibe but but the situation that caused the crash sort of happened again. I'm better now. I had another card reading which clarified a few things. No surprises & pretty accurate as always. I was told a couple of things about my kids & next day they came to me & told me pretty much what came out in the cards.
I'm ok at the moment I think. Sort of floating along, wondering about life, feeling Gratitude & having faith.
