Can you think of 5 things you noticed or observed in nature today, using all your senses?
I was wondering if this would be a beneficial exercise to help us focus on something else instead of painful emotions, troubled thoughts, over thinking, anxiety feelings and the darkness of that alone place.
As well as to see that there really is beauty all around us....
A blue dust dirt track, dry crunching under your feet. 7 in the morning and the sun is burning, very few high clouds. The sky is bright blue. The smell of pine and gum trees.
Tall dry grass as high as your open hands, grabbing the seed off the top and letting the wind carry it away.
Hundreds of grasshoppers jumping out of your path with every step you take. One step and the grasshopper move out of your way. Landing in your hands then Jumping away.
Earphones in your ear with pleasant tunes of your desire
Today has been so very hot, but then we had a big storm and I went for a walk barefoot down the back paddock in the rain. It was so nice! Anyway here is what I noticed:
I felt the giant cold raindrops fall onto my hot skin, and damp grass under my feet
I smelled the scent released from the gumtrees and dry grass as the rain fell upon them
I heard the really loud rumbling thunder as it seemed to echo all around me, and then I heard hubby yelling at me from the house about how silly I was for walking barefoot in the rain
I tasted the cool drops of water as I looked to the sky and opened my mouth to catch the raindrops
I saw huge black clouds gathering in big thunderheads overhead, and then I saw Tammie bolting for the shelter of the house as the rain came down heavier
