I don't know where to start with this, there's so much in my head right now...
I've got nothing, but my cat...no job, no friends, far from a family priority etc. etc.
My mum died 10 years ago on 26.2 and I still miss her so badly, she was the only person I had who was in my corner. Everyone else (family, friends that currently aren't talking to me) say I play the victim and am all "woe is me"
My sister's said I look like a silverback gorilla and other such things. She's a bully who gets away with it all, because she's the favourite and "normal" (kids, married, no mental illness - although I have doubts about that last one). My dad's called me fat and said that "You're bent like your mother" (she was bipolar). He lives with me and getting him to do anything is such a battle, he doesn't feel like paying the rent, so it's left to me, goes to work when he feels like it, helps my sister with her house but won't with me etc. etc. etc....I could go on and on with them!!
I have a GP and a psychologist that I should go back to (sessions are free and they're within walking distance), but I wonder if it's worth it when my psychologist said me running an instagram account for a celebrity is me living in fantasy land
I won't write any more, because I can't see anyone replying. I've got nothing and nobody and just want to forget...

Well, spent the morning re-laying the cobble look stones in my driveway (it's weird, it's concrete but with a section missing in the middle - that's where the stones go)...seems I am getting ready for a carport...
I've only done about a square metre because I'm using cardboard and garbage bags to stop weeds. I know you should use better, but that means more money. I'm going to leave it for a few weeks and see what happens
It's a shame I'm only renting, I don't mind this DIY stuff 🙂

Hi,
What a great achievement and better that you enjoyed doing it.
After you finish the things around the house as it is now. If youbwant to continue DIY you could look into buying things cheap from an op shop and doing them up. E.g. sprucing up an old table or even doing a mosaic on top. Youtube has lots of instructions. Pinterest has stacks of ideas. Food for thought.
Well done you!

Hi Narelle,
Good on you. I've used old newspapers as well as cardboard in the past, it worked fine. You are doing so well. Carols idea was a good one about doing old furniture. I used to get a good sense of satisfaction from DIY stuff too. Gardening next?
xx

Yep, gardening is definitely one of the next things for outside. I also want a shade sail and a small patch of paving.
I'm looking to do the kitchen dine area with vinyl (tiles are the cheapest, I think) since it's got horrid carpet in the dining area and a shower screen
Not sure what to do first, after the carport...
I am indeed very sore today though. I don't have to go out until Friday, so I will do more driveway tomorrow

Lounge sounds good Narelle.
If the carpet is bad in the kitchen can you approach the landlord for replacement?
How are you feeling? You are sounding more positive. Is doing a little each day helping?
Your friend,
Carol

I'm just feeling a little flat, I think it's probably the carport fiasco, but I'm sort of ignoring it, like the fact I'm not driving. Doing stuff probably is helping, even if it is just keeping my mind occupied that's doing it.
I don't think I could get help with the carpet, they'd just say it was in acceptable condition

Hi Narelle,
You are sounding fabulous and motivated to do stuff, woo hoo!
Is it worth as Carol said approaching the agency for the floor covering repairs? It is probably done on line and it cant hurt? The squeaky wheel system often works really well with this sort of thing, it keeps your file on top.
Alernatively, would the carpet come upi with a clean, you can hire a steam cleaner and do it yourself really cheaper.
Hugs, x

The driveway is just about done, it will be when I buy more of the pebbles, that is. Shouldn't cost more than $50
I'll see about the carpet...I'm not sure how much vinyl I'd even need yet, I haven't wanted to spend money until I get the carport re-sorted
I'm exhausted and I have to make my bed after changing my sheets before I can nap
A day of doing nothing tomorrow...yay 🙂

Way to go Narelle, you are doing so well. Must be all those veges you're eating (grin).
Hugs, xx
