I don't know where to start with this, there's so much in my head right now...
I've got nothing, but my cat...no job, no friends, far from a family priority etc. etc.
My mum died 10 years ago on 26.2 and I still miss her so badly, she was the only person I had who was in my corner. Everyone else (family, friends that currently aren't talking to me) say I play the victim and am all "woe is me"
My sister's said I look like a silverback gorilla and other such things. She's a bully who gets away with it all, because she's the favourite and "normal" (kids, married, no mental illness - although I have doubts about that last one). My dad's called me fat and said that "You're bent like your mother" (she was bipolar). He lives with me and getting him to do anything is such a battle, he doesn't feel like paying the rent, so it's left to me, goes to work when he feels like it, helps my sister with her house but won't with me etc. etc. etc....I could go on and on with them!!
I have a GP and a psychologist that I should go back to (sessions are free and they're within walking distance), but I wonder if it's worth it when my psychologist said me running an instagram account for a celebrity is me living in fantasy land
I won't write any more, because I can't see anyone replying. I've got nothing and nobody and just want to forget...

Sherie, it's to inhibit the rust and insurance mostly...and my mum wanted one
Wednesday, I had to ask him, so I don't think so, but I've got it in writing now (text message), so here's hoping...
Thank you Emmy and everyone else who's reading all this for putting up with me...even that means a lot to me

Hi Narelle,
I have seen some people in rentals use a portable marquee to cover the car space. You can get them from places like Bunnings. It would be easy for yourself or your Dad to put up. Perhaps this might be an option. It shouldn't need council approval as it is not a permanent structure change but you could check to be safe.
Kind thoughts,
Carol

I've used those before and the plastic rots fairly rapidly, and it's around $100 to replace each time, plus wind is as issue
I'll just have to spent big bucks to figure it out, but I figure I'll die in this house, so I guess it's worth it time wise.
I just can't win, whatever I do

Hi Narelle,
What is it with those voices in your head! You are working on something and don't need their unhelpful negativity.
I agree with you I've tried those portable marquee's your right they are not a long term solution.
Hugs, xx

Car cover?
We're a bit tragic here. We have a double garage but it's full of old furniture and bikes and kids stuff....our cars are parked in the drive without cover. Shakes head at self.
Hope you are feeling ok today.

Me too, Carol
I use a cover at the moment. I'm on my second one because of Buddy and a neighbourhood cat, which has since moved. At the moment, I'm using a tarp and the cover
I just get fed up with it all. I'll contact the guy and see what he suggests...it's going to be a lot of money, I can sense it

I'm in bed with Buddy asleep at my feet and I thought I'd have a quiet restful night, but guess what...
All I can think about is this stupid carport idea - when I've already failed at it once
Why brain, why?!?!

Ok Narelle lets work through this together hun...
- You obviously want this carport so let's get it 🙂
- Tomorrow log onto your local council website and search for relevant information. If you cannot find it email them or call first thing Monday morning.
- Email who you rent through (Housing Australia sorry not sure of the name) advising of your intentions and seeking permission to have it installed. It's good to have these things in writing. Eg who will maintain / repair it should something happen to it etc.
- Now we wait, without these two things we can do much yeah? Perhaps chat about it with your Dad. This may be something you can bond over. Reach out to him Narelle.
- If council and housing agree contact the contractor again. Be honest tell him you got a little confused about council requirements etc. People like honestly - make a joke out of it 🙂
- (Sorry I can't remember if you've have the contractor out to your place) Ask for the contractor to come out to go over everything.
- Then hopefully make the commitment to go ahead (making sure budget allows) and voila - you have a carport.
How does this all sound hun? I can help you word the emails to council and who you rent through if you need a hand. Not trying to be bossy mean this with good intentions.
Big hugs. Emmy xx
