Mine too but nope, doubt it very much anyway couldn't be bothered with anything this yr well, unless something comes my way. But eh not much comes my way these days in those things sooooo, it'll be a whatever.

I will most likely be on my own for Xmas & New Year. I don't really plan much for New Year, & hope neighbours won't be noisy New Year's Eve.

For Xmas, I'm not expecting to ;have somewhere to go, or for anyone to call & such, but I am making my plans for my to do my own thing.

I expect I will be around here on BB over the Xmas & New Year, again. Maybe not so much as in previous yars, but, if anyone would like to hear from someone else, it could be me.

RX....another exemplary long term Champion...Miss having our chats RX...seriously. Same here RX...just flying solo. I must get my XR8 out and get down the great ocean road for a wild turkey! Hope you have been doing ok.

Hello All,

It will most likely be a quiet one for me too. I'm also in a quiet town where there was barely a sound last NYE. There will just be the usual sounds of the ocean rolling in in the distance and frogs near the river. It can feel like time stands still somewhat here which I actually really like. I will probably do something I enjoy like editing photos which being a keen photographer I can spend ages on and I don't even realise the time that has passed.

I'll probably come and visit here too, so happy to chat with anyone who wants a chat. Take care everyone,

Wasn't sure if you were still about here mate so this was nice to find. Still got it hey,that sounds like a beautiful drive my friend.

Driving's a real go to for me and atm with some good music again too, it's been awhile yaknow so it's really nice to be enjoying that again when l can.

Editing photos sounds peaceful too! I purchased Polarr photo editor a while ago and am itching to use it!

Hi all 

Yes Paul, I miss you too. I knew there'd be a thread somewhere for NYE. my last post here was in 2019 that I was spending it at my partner's house

 Well that's not gonna happen again 😔.

Seems a few of us are alone. I don't want/need to party I just feel lonely & unloved which makes me sad. It's just 1 night with alot of hype really. Once it's done we just move on. I guess it can be empowering to spend it alone. To not have to be doing anything & trying to stay awake. I'm sure I'll find something to do around the house. I feel so sad cos it triggers memories of all the years I was alone while people in my life did things without me. This year is the same.

Thank you Paul. It’s nice to talk with you too. I hadn’t heard of the Polarr photo editor before and just read some very good reviews about it. It sounds like excellent value and a very good quality editor. I’m using Capture One now which is quite a bit more expensive and has many capabilities of which I still have much to learn. I find it very meditative though and I lose all sense of time as I get so absorbed in it.

Dear CMF, I really feel for you and I do agree there is so much hype for one night and a kind of pressure to make it a big thing. I think both Christmas and New Year can bring out sadness for people. The last two years are the first times in my life I have spent Christmas alone. But it’s actually been ok even if there were pangs of loneliness at certain points in the day. I did have phone calls with people though which was good. You have us here, so happy to chat with you if you need a chat on either of those days.
