Hi everyone, This section of the forum is a little different to the others, as you may have noticed in looking around the threads. Elsewhere on the forums, we discuss some pretty heavy topics: mental health issues, thoughts of suicide, trauma, abuse, relationship breakdowns. Here is the place to come to get away from that and have a bit of fun. Distraction can be an important tool to draw on if you're finding yourself overwhelmed by distressing thoughts and feelings. As this is a section for respite from difficult topics, we will remove posts made in this section that attempt to discuss personal issues. Please use a support thread in the appropriate section for these discussions. Happy posting!

How many members play an instrument? Or even more than one? I play piano.Never learnt the old fashion way though.I found books that show the piano chords and which notes to press.Very simple. There are many websites that cater for that now.I keep a chord chart book at the piano at all times.I even joined songwriting forums too.I've got a few songwriting books. On a bad day I can sit at the piano and feel better after playing some music.Very therapeutic. I used to play guitar.I eventually bought an electric guitar but steel strings arent a good thing for me.Sold the guitar and just went back to improving my piano playing skills. If you want to learn an instrument look online for advice.Plenty of websites.Watch youtube videos too.Start with a basic instrument. If its a guitar or piano just with the basic ones as you can always upgrade later. Learn all you can. There are websites for guitar chords, sites for piano chords.

I haven't. If so, what do you think of it? Should I get into it? Any tips or warnings? I've had my eye on the series for a while.

I believe everything happens for a reason. Somethings that happen I freak out positively and negatively. Like the universe is telling me something. Here’s one, Back in year 6/7 I had a best friend, he and I were very close. We almost dated and he hurt me. Broke my heart. I could not listen to the song perfect by Ed Sherran as I would cry thinking of him and I . Like it was intense even the tune. Months later I meet this girl. I realise I am developing feelings for her. Her favourite celebrity was JOJO (the one with the bows) her first question when we met was, what is your orientation? At the time I said straight. Fast-forward and now I know I’m bisexual. JOJO has just come out as part of LGBT. My first realised female celeb crush is in the perfect Ed Sherran music video. So, in conclusion, What is something that has happened to you that made you think, ”Everything happens for a reason” ”The universe is telling me something” ”That’s not at all freaky.” Mudcakes ‍🦺 (Interested to know)

I have one thread that is my story. I have created one other thread that is a never ending story with a post appearing at random times. I thought about things that I had in games I played and one thing that came to mind was a home. I post replies to other's stories and at the end of the day go to bed. Sometimes there can be things I want to say that might not fit in my story or other threads. So I decided to create this space where conversations might start and stop, change 180 degrees and go onto some some other tangent. You might have a question for me, or vice versa. Perhaps a place to shout or just get away.. so welcome to my den.... A wolf's den... a home... a place of safety. I will describe this space in a future place. If you are looking for a chat, a space to share, come in and sit down around a small fire with a tea or coffee to recharge, for connection (?), re-imagination or anything else.

Hi All, I hope everyone is staying safe and well during this hectic time. Since it looks like a fair number of us are due for some extended time inside, I thought I might poke around Netflix and see what was available that I might recommend. I think this would be a great place to talk about films, especially our favorites to watch when home sick or our go-to rewatchables. The ones below are all available on Australian Netflix as of the time of posting. I did my best to avoid anything too heavy/serious/related to sickness! Action & Adventure: Princess Mononoke (1997): Gorgeously animated environmentalist fairytale with great English-language voice acting John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum (2019): incredibly stylish, hyper-violent third entry in the hitman series starring Keanu Reeves The Matrix (1999): mind-bending story about a society run as a computer simulation Jurassic Park (1993): Feel-good but thrilling classic about a theme park where dinosaurs are brought back to life Baby Driver (2017): heist movie about a getaway driver with a great soundtrack Kids & Family Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade (1989): Excellent adventure about the search for the Holy Grail with Harrison Ford and Sean Connery The Iron Giant (1999): Touching animated movie about a boy’s relationship with a robot Shrek/Shrek 2 (2001/2004): Funny animated send-up of fairytales enjoyable for adults as well Matilda (1996): Danny DeVito’s adaptation of the Roald Dahl story of a precocious girl and the unimpressive adults in her life Hairspray (2007): campy adaptation of the John Waters original about an aspiring singer in 1960s Baltimore
