I know I'm sure you all think I'm as crazy as I think I am!
Who tries to quit cigarettes at a time as triggering as this? Me it seems.
24 hours, feels like a year!
It's because I started smoking when I was living in hell and I want to do something to show myself that hell is well and truly over.
One thing on the positive side it's certainly not as bad as coming off meds, at least so far.
I'm sure I'll possibly be posting some crazy messages for a little while - nicotine withdrawals suck!
Cheers

Hey thanks Neil!!
Yep Rambo-a-thon brilliant!
I may have to try DVD's today as well as so far, gardening, reading, cleaning, washing just aren't working. It's I WANT A SMOKE!!!! DAMN I WANT A SMOKE!!!
I read somewhere that today is the hardest for a lot of people so hopefully withdrawals maybe a little easier tomorrow. We'll see!
You're right Neil I've made it through another hour smoke free Yay!!

Hi amamas,
I hope you stick it out. The cheese will taste better on Christmas day.
I was a pack and a half a day smoker in my earlier life. Sad to say I used to dream about smoking years after I stopped.
You could try putting the money you save away for a holiday. I would love to travel more.
Peace.

Gday Geoff!
Thanks for your reminders - everything helps!
I think I'm now at 66 hours - yay!! I better start counting in days, working out the hours is becoming a strain for my PTSD brain.
How's your son coping with the withdrawals Geoff? They really are CRAP!!
What's your baby (oh so cute!) getting for xmas this year? My last baby was obsessed with squeaky toys. So I used to get him one at xmas. Used to wrap it up and put it under the tree. He's go absolutely berserk squeak the thing constantly until it was destroyed - lucky for my sanity those things have a short shelf life!
Have a great day!

Hey Amamas
My daughter has got a stocking up for “Jack” our dog. He’s a 9yo kelpie/jack Russell cross, but has a good portion of kelpie in him … and is absolutely adored by the family but none moreso than my daughter, who loves to get down on the floor with him and pretend she’s another dog and they kind of mouth at each other … well, she doesn’t but he does … and we know how strong his jaws are, but he just lightly does it with her. It is so incredibly cute to watch.
But what I was going to say was, that in his stocking, apparently there are TWO squeaky toys for him. We discussed this and we’re going to make them his outside toys.
Cheers
Neil
ps: congrats on your brilliant will power ... keep going.

dear Amamas, my son's finding it rather difficult, but hw=e knows that it is the option, as his wife doesn't want Marcie to be intoxicated with a smokie breath.
Well I gave her some colouring pencils those that can be washed off easily, but that was a couple of week ends ago, as my son hadn't been told if he and his work mates would have Xmas eve off, so they were all up in the air.
My ex and I always share presents, so she was buying the main present which I don't know what is as yet, but I will miss not seeing them all, especially Marcie, who grabs my finger when we go for a walk, it must be so big for her.
It's amazing what the older people buy for their grand kids, noisy toys just to get back at their kids, because I remember all the noise our children made at Xmas. L Geoff. x

Awwwww Neil that is just too cute!! I'd be interested to hear how long those squeaky toys last. Sunshine (my last Jack Russel) completely destroyed his in an hour or two.
Yep still no smokes. Hanging out big time but haven't given in yet.
Cheers Amamas
