Supporting someone with depression

Good evening,

my new partner has depression.

she has had it for 20 years.

how do I support her ?

Dear Bimmyt~

Thanks for your post, and welcome.

As you will appreciate the more information you can provide about your circumstances the more we can offer in the way of experience and advice.. At this stage it might be helpful to know, for example, if your partner is under treatment before saying more.

In the meantime the menu above called The Facts has wealth of information about this illness: causes, symptoms and treatments. Please have a read.
