but how do we cope with our crisis while waiting?
What are some helpful strategies you have found useful during your stay in the department?
I often get stuck in the emergency room waiting room overnight due to the fact there is no mental health team 24/7 where I live. I'm really struggling being here tonight. My usual strategies of listening to music isn't really working so I'm wondering if there is anything else I should try. Please note my concentration and attention is limited due to being in crisis. I feel trapped and stuck.
I wish lifeline text was 24/7 coz I could really use someone to talk to. Are there any other online options as I cant really call someone due to the nature of a waiting room.

Hi C
I'm so sorry to hear about your step dad. Losing him would bring lots of grief. I'm just so sorry. Huge hugs.
Were you able to catch up with your real dad?
Have you been able to talk through some of your feelings with a psych?
This is a difficult time for you on so many levels, please reach out and tell us how you're going.
Crying is a good release, sometimes it's hard to write to us when you're crying but we're still here and care about you.
Sending lots of love and Prayers for your healing.
EM

Hi Centaured, in addition to all the sensitive and perceptive comments from EcoMama, Monkey Magic and The moderators,
I felt the same as Paul when I read your post - I wanted to say its okay to cry.
It's also okay to be angry and frustrated
I think you reactions are so healthy - much more worrisome when people can't express these emotions, which I struggled with at times.

It's not fair.
I'm glad the nurses can be nice and you got a nice case manager, hoping you continue to encounter caring staff and people

I'm seeing my psychologist this morning and I'm going to tell her what's going through my head. I have no idea how today will pan out. I gotta try I guess.

Hi C
You don't have to talk about it...
What are your plans for today?
The SUN is brightly shining here! A warm welcoming start...
Have you got some food to prepare?
Love to you and Prayers for your healing
