Which guilty pleasures do u spend $$ on?

Hi All,

For me it's lotto, poker machines and hotel stays.

Ive been lucky and won small sums of money which entice me to go back for more. I've been one number short of a first division lotto win twice. I've also won the venues $1000 win while playing a pokie.

I like change which is the reason for my hotel stays. I usually stay for one or two nights to explore a new area.

What are your guilty pleasures?

Grandy OMG curly wurlys were my absolute favourite as a child! I tried to make it last, thought it was like Christmas when I got one lol!

And White Knights, loved that peppermint.

I'm trying to wean myself off Tarzan jubes atm lol!

All good!

I haven't bought them yet!!! I got all depressed after yuck things... lasted too long.
So I sacked my psych lol... where the shame was borneth lol... and have had some breakthroughs too which I'm so grateful for...

I will most definitely have them up for SPRING TIME coming!
I'm buying a warm coloured globe set.... we had coloured ones up many years ago but ya know... tha trigger thang lol.
Going for the warm enveloping feeling of golden lights this time.

I have a set of my children celebrating a milestone birthday in Spring time... so they'll help put some sparkle into our lives in time.

MY NEW FRIDGE arrives this week after paying for it in May lol... umm due to covid... so I'm gonna feel really spoilt then!

I've got a Sunday Roast cooking in my new oven at the moment and it WORKS lol.

My pleasures which are probably really "crutches" of "self-care" is buying a take away Chai Latte on the way home from dropping kids to school on my days off.... then I head home and do the "difficult" calls / paperwork in 3 distinct periods on my days off... it's not really working out to be ONLY 3 things since they all seem to call back etc.

But I'm getting these difficult things behind me now the PTSD has settled and I'm forcing more self-care lol.

Dear All

I bought a TV series on eBay. It cost (for me) a lot, well over $150, and becuse it was coming from Europe I'd wondered if it was wise, perhaps transport across the world might not work, or the seller's company cease to be.

Nevertheless it arrived, all 54 episodes 🙂 and I've thoroughly enjoyed both them and feeling spoiled.

This may not be in the spirit of this thread but I need serious expensive work on my teeth that were neglected for many reasons years ago due to mental health issues.

Now to fix them even the cheapest option is making me feel queasy and even though it is necessary I could ignore it.

What was the series Croix? I am assuming it was in a foreign language?

We can live for a very long time with a physical condition that adds difficulties, stress or embarrassment, even sometimes pain to ordinary life. It is only when fixed one realizes how much of a release it can be. Maybe that might be the situation with your teeth, an expense not wasted at all.

It was Maigret, starring Bruno Cremer (with subtitles, my French is no longer anything like adequate:( I have been promising myself an episode at the end of every day and it has made a real difference.

Mysuperpowerispanic....I love crystals...I have some polished crystals hanging on my veranda as sun catchers..they are beautiful when they catch the sun and divide the suns rays into different colours..and I have rainbow spots dancing around all over my veranda...

I have a craving today for a caramel slice..I think I will spoil myself today and buy one...

I have a HUGE dragon fly wind chime I bought recently hanging on my balcony. It has stained glass wings and beautiful glass baubles as a body and sings so sweetly.

No guilt lol, love it.

I bought myself breakfast today and had a take away snack for afternoon tea. Gives me more time to come onto the forums so no guilt there either! LOL.

Guilt free here today, in fact I'm proud of myself ugh.. did I say that?
I gardened with my gardener for 5 sold hours and had a face like a beetroot in 30 degree heat. Woah it was hot.
We cleared so much lantana and my body is ripped to shreds lol. I'm beat.

Lighting the chiminea tonight. Yay.
